KIND Kids Parenting Workshops & Training Programs

"Confident Parents Raising Confident Kids" is a grassroots parenting workshop program.

The core value behind our KIND KIDS programs... we believe that PARENTS are the true experts for their own KIDS!

The KIND Kids Motto: "Confident parents raise confident kids!!"

The idea that drives the core value of our KIND Kids program is the importance of:
the "conscious emotional" combined with "intellectual" connections.
These two components go hand-in-hand to create ‘confident parents who raise confident kids'!

"I believe that parents need to teach their children consciously
HOW to connect and understand their feelings.
This is actually a physical phenomenon, where 2 parts of the brain need to become connected:
• the intellectual (language oriented),
• the emotional (feelings driven).

I believe that I can teach parents how to do this,
and the natural consequence is self-confidence for both the parent and child."

The purpose of our KIND Kids Workshop program is:

• for parents to learn more about the ideas behind our book "KIND independant not dependant KIDS"
• to address specific topics that the parents group decide they would like to learn more about

Sometimes reading information is not enough to help with building skills and creating strategies to become confident as a parent. The KIND Kids grassroots system is the answer: parents helping like-minded parents. Our KIND KIDS Workshops provide the de-stressor for parents who are overwhelmed. It is never too late to become confident as a parent. Making a commitment to becoming a confident parent creates confident kids!

Today the challenges that parents face are scary and most times overwhelming. No wonder parents give up! Unfortunately, giving up is causing more distress and terrible tragedies in our global communities.

A confident parent is someone who genuinely understands their role and responsibilities as a parent even though they may be overwhelming. KIND Kids system supports parents in successfully taking this challenge, helping them to build their own confidence, so their chidlren can learn by example.

Start with just a single bite...

A wise instructor once asked her students how to eat an elephant?
There were some very creative and innovate responses!
None realized the significance of taking one bite at a time.
Once they understood this simple answer they began to realize the simple notion that we can only do what we can do...
We just need a place to start. KIND KIDS is that place.

How to become involved in a KIND KIDS Workshop Program

KIND Kids supports parents at the grassroots level, and requires a group of parents who are committed to raising confident children.

For our workshop, you will need to:

  1. Form a group of parents who have the same issues in common with raising kids in their local community:
    • parents with children at the same developmental level.
    • an issue in the community that is affecting the parents and their kids.
    • like-minded parents who want to be confident in their responsibilities raising kids.
    • a parent group may also choose to participate in a conference on a specific or multi-topic presentation.

  2. Make a commitment to becoming an active resource in their community for other parents.

  3. Agree to not use the group as a conduit for religious or political dogma. The group may have the same religious or political beliefs, but cannot use the KIND Kids group to support these beliefs.

  4. Pay the costs of the workshop, which includes two 6-hour workshops, travel/accommodation of the 2 instructors, and a cost of $75 per participant for each workshop.

  5. Provide a facility to host the workshop in their community.
(The only requirements we require is protection from the elements the rest is negotiable.)

What to expect from the first 6-hour training of "Confident Parents Raising Confident Kids":

  1. Training in the 5 developmental critical periods of human development. (see the 5 modules of "KIND KIDS" book)

  2. Parent group's short-term and long-term goals will be identified and action plans designed to succeed with these goals.

  3. There are no fees to belong to the parent group.

  4. Life-time access to KIND Kids system as a resource for information.

  5. Build a team of parents that are hands-on rather than associates.

  6. Confidence to parent confident kids!!

Community Development... Secondary or Follow-up workshops

Our initial workhops will identify your parent group's short term and long term goals of being effective resources in their community. An action plan with an evaluation and a time frame for implementation is built into our program. A consecutive workshop would be to actually put this together in a hands-on manner so that the parents can actually measure their success as resources in their community.
